What counts as a "user"?
Active humans in teams where Hilma is enabled. Bots don't count (sorry, Slackbot). Inactive members don't count. If someone's excluded from check-ins, they don't count either. We're not trying to pad the numbers here.
Can I cancel whenever?
Absolutely. No contracts, no guilt trips, no "retention specialists" calling you. Cancel from your dashboard in two clicks. You'll keep access until your billing period ends. We'll miss you, but we'll survive.
How is VAT handled?
All prices are displayed excluding VAT. EU businesses with a valid VAT number qualify for reverse charge. Local VAT rates apply where required (e.g., 25% in Sweden). Paddle, our merchant of record, handles all tax collection and compliance.
What happens if I don't subscribe after the trial?
Your workspace will be paused, meaning no new check-ins can be submitted. Your existing data is retained for 30 days, giving you time to reactivate if needed. Simply subscribe to resume where you left off.
Can I use Hilma without Slack?
Absolutely! Hilma works great as a standalone product. Sign up with email, create your workspace, and invite teammates via email. Check-ins are completed through our beautiful web interface, with reminders delivered to your inbox. Same price, same features, no Slack required.
